Basarab VI, son of the Ottoman-affiliated boyar Mehmed-bey, briefly held the Wallachian throne after the murder of Radu of Afumați in January 1529. His non-dynastic rule lasted about a month, from early January to early February 1529, before Moise of the Dănești replaced him.
