Pierre Blanchy, a long-serving senior official, first acted as Minister of State in the weeks after Monaco's liberation in 1944, replacing Émile Roblot. Pierre Blanchy acted as Minister of State for a second time in 1949, during which Louis II died (9 May 1949) and Rainier III succeeded him. Pierre Blanchy acted as Minister of State for a third time in autumn 1953 between Pierre Voizard's departure and Henry Soum's arrival (this interim appears in the timeline of Wikipedia's article but not its table). Pierre Blanchy's fourth and longest acting spell spanned the 1962 Franco-Monegasque crisis, when France imposed a customs blockade, the new constitution of 17 December 1962, and the 1963 conventions that subjected French residents of Monaco to French taxation.
