Ahmed I ended the Long Turkish War with the Peace of Zsitvatorok (1606) and broke with custom by sparing his brother Mustafa. In 1613 an Ottoman expedition forced the Druze emir Fakhr al-Din II, whose power extended into Galilee, into exile in Tuscany.
