Powerful Medang king who united Central and East Java, issued the Mantyasih inscription listing his ancestors, and furthered Hindu temple building and court ritual. He ruled in the Hindu-Buddhist kingdoms of classical Java, whose temples and kakawin literature shaped Indonesian culture.
