Joan Despés was Bishop of Urgell and ex officio episcopal co-prince of Andorra from 1515 to 1530, according to Wikipedia's list of co-princes; little is recorded of his part in Andorran affairs. Under the paréages of 1278 and 1288 the bishop of Urgell shared the lordship of Andorra (as co-lord, co-senyor) with the Count of Foix, receiving in alternate years the tribute (quèstia) of the valleys.
